The Texas Crime Prevention Association (TCPA) is a 501.3 non profit organization composed of concerned citizens, private security professionals, loss prevention experts, crime prevention specialists, and law enforcement officers. We offer the Certified Crime Prevention Specialist (ccps) certificate for those who wish to expand their knowledge in crime prevention.

TCPA was founded in Wimberley, Texas in 1975 by a group of dedicated individuals that came together in the hopes of better serving their fellow citizen by unifying crime prevention ideas, programs, resources, and efforts. Today, we have nine regional affiliates covering the 254 counties of the State of Texas.

As an organization that is founded on spreading the concepts of crime prevention, we are always eager to learn about new ideas, listen to suggestions, and to spread our partnerships through networking. If you represent a company, organization, or just know about a dynamic program that you wish to share, please let us know.
